Chiropractic

Chiropractic is a natural form of healthcare that uses spinal adjustments to correct spinal misalignments and restore proper function to the nervous system, helping your body to heal naturally. Chiropractic does not use drugs or surgery. Rather, a chiropractic spinal adjustment, which entails the application of a precise force to a specific part of the spinal segment, corrects the misalignment, permitting normal nerve transmission and assisting your body to recuperate on its own.

No part of your body escapes the dominance of your nervous system. Improper function of the spine due to slight misalignments, called subluxations, can cause poor health or sub-optimal function, even in areas far removed from the spine and spinal cord itself. Misalignments can also reduce the ability of your body to adapt to its ever-changing environment. Even the slightest malfunction of your spine may alter the regular transmission of nerve impulses, preventing that portion of your body from responding and function optimally.

Holistic Chiropractic

A holistic chiropractor is a chiropractor that considers the whole person as opposed to the specific ailment or parts when attempting to achieve and maintain optimal health and wellness.Treating the whole entails addressing mind, body and spirit alike. Imbalances and disharmonies in the whole is why our body gets sick. The parts are the symptoms the body will manifest when the whole is not well. As a holistic chiropractor, Dr. Vilches breaks down the treatment of the whole into three categories; structural, nutritional and emotional. Structural stress refers to muscle, bone, tendon and spinal misalignments. Nutritional stress results from what we eat, drink and inhale. The third stressor is caused by mental/emotional distress. Dr. Vilches identifies and reduces all of the stressors mentioned above so the body can return back to balance and optimal function.

Koren Specific Technique

One of the systems Dr Vilches uses for patient care is Koren Specific Technique (KST). Practitioners of KST locate and correct areas of stress, imbalance, distortion, toxicity, subluxation, stagnation, disharmony, interference, etc. often missed by other healthcare practitioners. They do this by employing a protocol that is used to access information from the body: challenge, check and correct. Challenge gently your body for imbalance, disharmony, stagnation, toxicity, etc. Check: how the body responds by using a biofeedback mechanism/muscle testing with a biofeedback stress test called the “occipital drop” or OD. Correct: release the stress using a variety of methods (adjustments, Kinesiotape, homeopathic remedies, nutrition, and many other techniques).

Emotion Release

Emotions are not only in our heads; but our bodies experience them as well.  A lot of our physical ailments originate or worsen from situations or traumas that occur throughout our lifetimes.  It is important to address these issues as well and help the body process and release these situations to enhance our healing journey.   Dr Vilches uses various techniques and tools during this process with her patients. Some of those include the emotion code and the body code. Dr Vilches is also a certified Bioenergy Healer. For more information about this please email us.

Homeopathics

Homeopathics, by nature, work on a much deeper and more exacting avenue.  They address the same symptomatic patterns as other supplements, but together with the nutrient and chemical rebalancing, homeopathics also affect and establish cellular rebalancing on an electrical and vibrational level.

Muscle Testing

Dr. Vilches uses a system to assess your body called muscle testing. Based on the concept of internal energy fundamentals of traditional Chinese medicine, muscle testing is a noninvasive way of evaluating the body’s imbalances and assessing its needs. It involves testing the body’s responses when applying slight pressure to a large muscle, to provide information on energy blockages, the functioning of the organs, nutritional deficiencies, food sensitivities, spinal misalignments, and muscle injuries among other things. It can also be used to test the body’s responses to herbs and other remedies.

Specific Nutritional Consultation and Functional Medicine Testing

Dr. Vilches uses a unique system of muscle testing to first identify if nutrition plays a role in the health conditions you are currently experiencing. Her protocol includes examining specific body and organ systems and recommending appropriate lifestyle modifications. She may also recommend specific herbal and homeopathic remedies and vitamins that your body will require to return back to balance and optimum health. Dr. Vilches also uses Science Based Nutrition TM and then determines the testing that should be done. Using bloodwork and other diagnostic tools, an in-depth analysis of your body function will be performed. The testing will show where the problem areas are occurring or just developing.

Dr Vilches may also refer you for functional medicine lab work that is essential for further specialized testing with global clinical laboratories, aimed at personalizing treatment and preventing chronic diseases as part of your treatment plan. The findings from these specialized labs will provide valuable insights into the supplements, herbs, dietary protocols, and other interventions necessary for optimal diagnostics and improved outcomes. These specialized tests may cover various areas such as gut health, food allergies, malabsorption, methylation issues, and more.
